Now that the hustle of the Holidays has concluded and we return to more
manageable schedules, we are presented with opportunities in the New Year. As
you look at the blank calendar, how will you fill those empty squares?
We often feel there isn't enough time to commit to all the interests in
which we choose to involve ourselves. Now is time to seize the opportunity to plan
our activities with care, and ensure we set a course for the next year that
will be fulfilling and prosperous.
Perhaps you’re thinking about making different choices to better your
life. The first step is to realize that change is necessary – a tough job for
the best of us.
As a community we need to do the same thing – identify things that need
to change. From the bothersome to the critical, we can’t ignore these issues if
we are to grow and improve as a city.
So, while you consider needed change in your life, think about what you
would like to improve in your city. Ask yourself who has the skills and the
leadership to make that a reality. Then vote for and work with that person to
achieve that improved community we all deserve.
